From: Brighton, UK

Genre(s) : Quirky Indie Pop, Hopecore for the Heavy Hearted

News : Thestarsdowntoearth

Video(s) : Thestarsdowntoearth

Bio : Thestarsdowntoearth

"The Stars Down to Earth find themselves miles away from the ‘standard’ drums, bass and guitar format seen in so many indie bands, this is something much, much more. Their catchy hooks reminiscent of Arcade Fire’s early EP’s and the avant-garde guitar work of Mew, create beautifully ambitious sound-scapes that have to be witnessed in a live setting." - www.drinkinbrighton.co.uk

"enough savvy and charm to be a promising prospect" - Source Magazine (Brighton)

Formed by lead vocalist Alastair Gray, bassist Toby Dore and keyboardist Chloe Debouzie, The Stars Down to Earth have spent the last two years writing songs about hope in the face of disaster and danger. Joined in 2008 by vocalist/drummer Becky Walton, they aspire to prove that exciting music can involve more than just guitars and beats, and their honest and intense live performances have quickly attracted interest within the Brighton music scene. With a range of musical tastes, they bring their ideas to life. They have recently headlined Club NME at Brighton Coalition and were featured as ‘pick of the week’ in the NME itself.
